The Chronicles of David Robinson - Learning A New Path - eBook

About Learning A New PathPicking up from 'Bumps Along The Way', David starts his first day of High School. Its a different way for him to learn the material in a multi student classroom setting rather than the one on one setting he previously had with his tutor Brad Jones. David works with his friends in study groups to help them with their subjects, makes a few new friends, all while learning the curriculum at the much slower pace than he is used to.Our hero gets called away to work his wonders at a plane crash scene in California, and a terrorist plot to destroy the New York City Ball Drop Ceremony on New Years Eve. He is rewarded generously by the government for his heroic actions.David shows his group of family and friends how thoughtful and selfless he really is in nature. He feels he's already been blessed with more than one person could possibly ask for, all at such a young age. The generous rewards he receives for his heroism create a new responsibility for him to manage. He now has an enormous nest egg building up that he must be careful on how he uses it without drawing too much attention to himself. Our teens go from helping each other with school projects, and study groups for first semester ending exams where they decide to return to the teen club to blow off steam. On the way to the club, the teens are hassled by some thugs who David fears may harm his friends. He must either let his friends know his secret, or allow the thugs to get away with hurting his friends. This is something David will not stand for.The teens rally together to help David experience some new activities, and they take a trip to the County Fair. They watch intently on how David reacts to the new sights, sounds, and attractions within the fairgrounds. Brad starts seeing another one of the teacher's from the school and is along for the trip with them. She is surprised to find out that this is David's first trip to any kind of amusement park setting, and watches the 15 year old young man react like a five year old at a fair.David has another vision of the future pertaining to the birth of their first child. It comes at a bad time through first semester exams in Grade 11. Claire becomes upset with David for not inviting her family to the meeting about what's troubling him at the time, but when exams are over he reveals his reasons. David proposed to Claire in a way that only he could do. With his abilities he makes a comical, yet very romantic proposal to the woman he loves more than anything in the world.

Ever since he became a Christian at the age of forty, it has been Poirot actor David Suchet's dream to make an audio recording of the Bible. In between filming the final episodes of Poirot, David Suchet spent over 200 hours in the recording studio to create the very first full-length audio version of the NIV Bible spoken by a single British actor. This recording is an excerpt of that Bible. This audio Bible is also available as an app. The app contains the full text of the New International Version (British Text), so you can easily navigate the audio or read and listen at the same time.

                    I Am David (Paperback)

                    I Am David (Paperback)

Having escaped from the eastern European concentration camp where he has spent most of his life, a twelve-year-old boy struggles to cope with an entirely strange world as he flees northward to freedom in Denmark.

David's entire twelve-year life has been spent in a grisly prison camp in Eastern Europe. He knows nothing of the outside world. But when he is given the chance to escape, he seizes it. With his vengeful enemies hot on his heels, David struggles to cope in this strange new world, where his only resources are a compass, a few crusts of bread, his two aching feet, and some vague advice to seek refuge in Denmark. Is that enough to survive? David's extraordinary odyssey is dramatically chronicled in Anne Holm's classic about the meaning of freedom and the power of hope.
